Wallbox is reshaping the electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape with an exciting new partnership.
We are thrilled to announce we have joined forces with E.ON Next, one of the UK’s leading energy providers. This collaboration means E.ON Next is expanding its EV charger range, empowering EV owners to seamlessly buy their Wallbox chargers with the E.ON Next Drive tariff and gain access to 24/7 support, and continue to contribute to reducing the carbon impact of transportation across the UK. E.ON Next currently supplies energy to about 5.5 million customers across the UK.
The company provides 100% renewables-backed electricity on fixed tariffs, and its dedicated Energy Specialists are focused on customers taking positive action to lower their energy usage and bills. E.ON Next is on a journey to becoming a more energy-efficient company, playing a leading role in the ongoing energy transition.
With the UK Government’s forecasting a 50% surge in electricity demand by 2035, finding economically viable solutions to propel the shift away from traditional fuels to minimise environmental impact is vital.
The partnership pairs Wallbox’s hardware with E.ON Next’s modern energy tariff, allowing Wallbox customers to effortlessly access the E.ON Next Drive tariff when buying their Pulsar Max, a smart home charger meticulously designed to optimise both time and financial savings for EV drivers. By embracing E.ON Next, the average EV driver stands to save up to an impressive £4001 annually when switching to the E.ON Next Drive tariff. The tariff also comes with 100% renewable electricity at no extra cost, fixed energy prices for one year, and no exit fees. This tariff offers customers a lower price for electricity when charging their vehicle at night 1. The user-friendly app allows drivers to set charging times and battery charge levels, optimising the process for efficiency. The E.ON Next Drive tariff not only provides low rates for smart charging but extends savings to home energy usage as well1.
And there’s more! Scheduling charges 2 during periods of low electricity demand actively balances the energy grid, by regulating consumption, leading to more efficient use of energy resources.
The partnership with E.ON Next provides a hassle-free EV charger installation service, saving customers the hassle of finding an installer and saving money on overnight EV charging. It offers the convenience of fast charging at home, compatible with most Electric Vehicle brands. Including Wallbox in the portfolio gives customers more choice, allowing them to choose a well-known brand in the UK. E.ON Next customers could also benefit from a £50 discount off the Wallbox Pulsar Max. The E.ON Next Drive tariff provides lower-priced electricity at 9.5p per kWh when charging between 12 and 7 am, fixed prices for a year with no exit fees, and 100% renewable electricity. This collaboration marks a new era in EV charging, changing the way we power our vehicles and contribute to a more energy-efficient future. Eco-conscious drivers are now more empowered than ever to reduce their carbon footprint while enjoying substantial cost savings, courtesy of the partnership between Wallbox and E.ON Next.
